Overview

We are looking for a Group Head – Copy & Content who will act as the thinking engine of the agency. This role goes beyond writing sharp copy — it requires strategic thinking, creative leadership, and the ability to guide teams while also getting hands-on when required.

The ideal candidate should be equally comfortable operating as an Individual Contributor (IC) and stepping into a leadership role, driving both creative excellence and team growth. This is a leadership position for someone who leads by example, not authority.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead creative thinking and content strategy across multiple brands and campaigns.
  • Translate briefs into strong creative concepts, messaging frameworks, and storytelling ideas.
  • Write, review, and refine copy across formats including social media, digital ads, films/scripts, websites, and long-form content.
  • Act as an Individual Contributor on key brands, pitches, and high-priority deliverables.
  • Manage, mentor, and grow a team of copy/content writers and other content creators.
  • Ensure consistency in brand voice, tonality, and quality across all outputs.
  • Collaborate closely with Strategy, Design, Video, and Account Management teams.
  • Participate in client discussions, presentations, and creative walkthroughs.
  • Provide clear, constructive feedback to elevate the team's creative output.
  • Contribute to new business pitches and internal creative initiatives.
  • Must be comfortable with keeping up with and helping the team to keep up with GenAI trends.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, platform formats, and evolving content styles.
Requirements
  • 4–6 years of experience in a creative, digital, or advertising agency.
  • Strong foundation in copywriting and content strategy.
  • Proven ability to think conceptually and execute creatively.
  • Prior experience leading or mentoring a creative team.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple brands and deadlines in an agency setup.
  • High level of ownership, accountability, and creative curiosity.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and leadership temperament.
