Overview
We are looking for a Group Head – Copy & Content who will act as the thinking engine of the agency. This role goes beyond writing sharp copy — it requires strategic thinking, creative leadership, and the ability to guide teams while also getting hands-on when required.
The ideal candidate should be equally comfortable operating as an Individual Contributor (IC) and stepping into a leadership role, driving both creative excellence and team growth. This is a leadership position for someone who leads by example, not authority.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead creative thinking and content strategy across multiple brands and campaigns.
- Translate briefs into strong creative concepts, messaging frameworks, and storytelling ideas.
- Write, review, and refine copy across formats including social media, digital ads, films/scripts, websites, and long-form content.
- Act as an Individual Contributor on key brands, pitches, and high-priority deliverables.
- Manage, mentor, and grow a team of copy/content writers and other content creators.
- Ensure consistency in brand voice, tonality, and quality across all outputs.
- Collaborate closely with Strategy, Design, Video, and Account Management teams.
- Participate in client discussions, presentations, and creative walkthroughs.
- Provide clear, constructive feedback to elevate the team's creative output.
- Contribute to new business pitches and internal creative initiatives.
- Must be comfortable with keeping up with and helping the team to keep up with GenAI trends.
- Stay updated with industry trends, platform formats, and evolving content styles.
Requirements
- 4–6 years of experience in a creative, digital, or advertising agency.
- Strong foundation in copywriting and content strategy.
- Proven ability to think conceptually and execute creatively.
- Prior experience leading or mentoring a creative team.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Ability to handle multiple brands and deadlines in an agency setup.
- High level of ownership, accountability, and creative curiosity.
- Strong interpersonal skills and leadership temperament.
